Scope of this paper
This print paper targets writing and integration. It does not simulate the audio, speaking or SBA components.
Candidate instructions
- Complete Task 1 and ONE option in Task 2.
- Use your own words except where a technical term is necessary.
- Plan for five minutes and leave time to edit for accuracy and tone.

Data file B — volunteer note
Thirty-two volunteers have registered. Only ten have electrical-safety training. Last year, 37% of visitors arrived in the final hour, causing a long queue. Six volunteers can speak Cantonese, English and Urdu.
Data file C — budget message
The sponsor will provide $6,000 only if at least 200 residents can register. Unused funds must be returned. Public-liability cover is available at either venue, but all electrical items must pass an isolation check before repair.
