Part A — Original score analysis

Listen to two teacher-selected recordings of the same piece or movement. Compare how tempo flexibility, articulation and balance shape the form. Record at least three timestamped observations and reach a judgement about which interpretation makes the structure clearer.

Part C — Composition

Compose an 8-bar continuation of the printed melody for a contrasting B section that can lead back to bar 1. Include one development of motif x, one non-tonic key area or modal colour, a planned texture, dynamics and a functional return transition. Add a 100-word rationale.
